BBC has today revealed its £30million rich list of nearly 100 highest paid on-screen stars

The BBC has today revealed its £30million rich list of nearly 100 highest paid on-screen stars - but staff are livid after learning just how much less they earn than their rich colleagues.

Radio 2 host Chris Evans was the corporation's top earner on up to £2.25million last year followed by Match of the Day's Gary Lineker on £1.8million, who insisted it was his agent who was to blame for his giant pay packet.
Claudia Winkleman and Alex Jones are the only women in the top ten highest paid broadcasters - but the Strictly and One Show hosts took home up to £1.75million less a year than the highest paid male stars.

One in three of the 96 top earners are women and other high profile female broadcaster have expressed their disgust about the emerging gender pay gap with many using the hashtag #notonthelist in protest.
The BBC also faces a backlash because Graham Norton - who is believed to earn £2.5million a year for his chat show - only had to declare £900,000 because most of his cash is paid to him via a production company.
Bake Off star Mary Berry, Question Time host David Dimbleby and Top Gear's Matt LeBlanc are not on the list at all for similar reasons.
The BBC's annual report revealed today:
There are 96 broadcasters in total earning more than £150,000-a-year, which is more than Prime Minister Theresa May
The BBC makes almost £5billion from the licence fee and the sale of its shows overseas - but still made an overall loss of £129million last year;
Seven of the top ten highest paid are men - the top woman is Claudia Winkleman but she earns £1.75m less than the top man Chris Evans;
Only one in three people on the BBC rich list is a woman - with senior female broadcasters using hashtags #notonthelist and #genderpaygap in protest;
Graham Norton, David Dimbleby and Mary Berry are in a group whose true earnings are hidden because BBC cash goes to them via a production company;
